Hi! I'm Jacqueline Kharouf....curious? Sure you are...

I'm a recent college graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in writing. For my superior linguistic skills and literary prowess, I received the Robert O'Sullivan, S.J. Award for Excellence in Writing from my alma mater, Regis University, Denver, CO. Throughout my college career I was an active member of the campus newspaper, the Highlander, and published numerous articles and some cartoons. If you are interested in reading some of my past work (which includes, but is not limited to, boring newsy shtuff, searing opinions concerning relatively solipsistic and trivial themes, and other things...probably), please check out www.regishighlander.com and hit up the search engine there.

Yet, despite all these accomplishments, I am merely a poor, starving writer with a drive for words, phrases, and newly realized cliches that have become beautiful shining butterflies of wisdom and, in the same tiny fluttering, disilussioned excrements, too abused and broken to be used again. I eat, sleep, and breathe writing, but I also enjoy a nice cup of coffee, an occassional stroll in the park, and day-dreaming of my ideal counterpart. I am addicted to film and have been known to follow an actor, director, or screen writer through the highs (and, ugh, sometimes truly idiotic lows) of his or her cinematic endeavors via amazon.com and my handy-dandy credit card. But I also dabble in the literary world and currently enjoy reading tales of dirt, saddles, and inexperienced cowboys (Cormac McCarthy--you are a god).

I hope that was good for you--you know it was cathartic for me.

Before I go to write, and write again, I just want to say a quick thank you to whoever is reading this (and privately wondering why--it's ok, I do the same thing). Thank you! And I wanted to shout out another quick thank you to suite101 for giving me this chance (and taking my mind off that whole starvation thing). Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Keep reading and please, send comments or questions!
